We recently held our wedding at the Punch Bowl, and it was a perfect day! We had a romantic, intimate celebration with our closet family and friends in a beautiful countryside setting, which felt very special and unique for us. A massive, heartfelt thank you to Sally, Rob end the entire team at the Punch bowl. They were incredibly helpful from the very first planning stages right down to the final drink of the night. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and their support made our day entirely stress-free. Sally’s team always made sure our glasses were constantly topped up. Rob is a very talented chef - we wanted local seasonal dishes and Rob made sure he planned for that and took into account any additional dietary requirements. The gourmet food prepared by the team was absolutely outstanding. Every single dish was packed with flavour, beautifully presented, and loved by all of our guests. People are still talking about how incredible the wedding feast was! The venue itself is stunning, it is located in the unique unspoiled countryside overlooking farmland in every direction. It had a safe outdoor garden for the children to run around. Another unique feature was the tortoise in the garden which is believed to be over 100 years old. All children big and small enjoyed spending time with this friendly little character. The atmosphere in this historic pub was amazing and wrapped our whole day in a warm, welcoming charm. We could not have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate our marriage. Thank you, Punch Bowl team, for making our dream wedding a reality!

Arrived late afternoon on bank holiday Monday just as kitchen was closing but chef still accommodated us with a marvellous meal of Steak and ale pie and Sea Bass. Great welcome and friendly service, highly recommend. PMJ

I was looking for somewhere different to take my friend for her birthday and booked a table at this lovely pub restaurant situated off the beaten track. Our waitress greeted us with a warm welcome and very helpful, going above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable. We both settled for the steak and ale pie with mash and wasn't disappointed. The pastry and high quality meat was prepared from scratch and cooked to perfection, so compliments to the chef. The meal was great value and we decided to have a dessert each to celebrate her birthday which were a bit expensive but were delicious. I would highly recommend a visit

Lovely elevated pub. The interior is classy and cosy, with pub related and local art on the walls as well as very pretty ceramics on the tables. The service was incredible and the food was delicious! Good portion, perfectly cooked pork roast. The gravy was very flavourful. Would definitely recommend it if you are in the area.
